How does escrow payment work?

Escrow is what makes ChuoMarket safe. When you pay for an item, your money does not go straight to the seller. Instead, ChuoMarket holds it securely in escrow.

The seller can see that payment is confirmed, so they ship your item with confidence. Once your item arrives and you confirm delivery, we release the payment to the seller.

If something goes wrong — the item never arrives, or it is not as described — you can open a dispute before confirming delivery. Your money stays protected in escrow until the dispute is resolved.

This protects both sides: buyers never pay for nothing, and sellers know the money is real before they ship.
