1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using ChuoMarket (“the Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform. ChuoMarket is operated by ChuoMarket Ltd and is intended for users in Tanzania.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use ChuoMarket. By creating an account, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@chuomarket.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
4. Listings and Transactions
ChuoMarket provides a platform for buyers and sellers to connect. We do not own, sell, or guarantee any listed items. Sellers are solely responsible for the accuracy of their listings. Buyers are responsible for verifying items before completing a purchase.
All transactions are directly between buyers and sellers. ChuoMarket is not a party to any transaction and accepts no liability for disputes, defective goods, or non-delivery.
5. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent listings
- Sell counterfeit, stolen, or illegal goods
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
- Use the Platform for spam or unsolicited communications
- Attempt to circumvent any security measures or access controls
- Create multiple accounts to evade bans or restrictions
6. Seller Requirements
To sell on ChuoMarket you must complete our seller verification process. Approved sellers agree to fulfil orders honestly, communicate promptly with buyers, and comply with all applicable Tanzanian laws including consumer protection regulations.
7. Cargo and Delivery
ChuoMarket Cargo is a delivery facilitation service. Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary. ChuoMarket is not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control including weather, road conditions, or third-party logistics partners.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on ChuoMarket — including the logo, design, and software — is owned by ChuoMarket Ltd. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent. By posting content on the Platform, you grant ChuoMarket a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that content for the purpose of operating the service.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Tanzanian law, ChuoMarket shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the fees you paid to ChuoMarket in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms or for any conduct we deem harmful to the Platform or its users. You may delete your account at any time from Settings.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Tanzania.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify users of material changes via the app or email.
