About this opportunity

Momentum is the startup incubator of the AIMS Research & Innovation Centre (AIMS RIC) in Kigali, Rwanda. We back founding teams building technology-driven solutions, whether DeepTech or tech-enabled, and we surround them with the structure, mentorship, and investor access they need to turn promising ideas and early traction into scalable ventures. We are now recruiting our second cohort through an open, pan-African call. Selection will run through an open application, a screening round, and a hybrid hackathon in Kigali on September 14-16, 2026, preceded by an evidence check-in on September 11. Teams that cannot travel to Kigali for the selection event may participate via a structured virtual channel (Zoom) under identical rules.
